Fr. Shafique shares sufferings, redemption in Pakistan.
A week before my appointment to St. Jude someone gave me a prayer card with the following prayer:
Prayer to St. Jude for Tomorrow
St. Jude, you are with me in all that is new. May your path of hope be mine in the days ahead. I promise in faith to share your hope with others, to forgive as I am forgiven by my Father in heaven, and to show sympathy and kindness at every opportunity. Guide me, St. Jude, so that I will begin each new day with gratitude on my lips, with truth on my mind, and with hope in my heart. Challenge me, St. Jude, so that I will end each day reflecting on my actions and motivations so that I will grow in faith, love, and hope.

We are always in need of jelly, soup, tuna, canned chicken, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti noodles and cereal. If you are out shopping and find a sale on any of these items why not pick up a few for the pantry?
“For I was hungry and you gave ME something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave ME something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited ME in.” -Matthew 25:35
If you want to donate food to the pantry please bring it during pantry hours Monday & Thursday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm or call the parish office at (313) 527-0380 to make arrangements for another time.
If you would like to make a monetary donation, please send checks to St. Jude Parish at 15889 E. Seven Mile Rd., Detroit, MI 48205.
Our pantry hours are: Monday’s and Thursday’s beginning at 11:30 am thru 1:30 pm. We serve the first 30 families. It is recommended that you get here as close as you can to 11:30 am. We serve zip codes 48205, 48224,48225, 48234 and 48236.
You need identification for yourself and anyone living in your household–a Michigan drivers license or state id for individuals 18 or over.
For children: If you receive food stamps, the letter from the Department of Human Services will work for their identification. If you do not receive food stamps and have children, we need school report cards with your address on it or birth certificates for children 5 and under.
